Andhra Electronics Limited was established in 1977 with a charter for manufacture of high stability Quartz Crystal units meant for the domestic telecommunication markets. Since 1977 AEL has emerged as a prominent player in the frequency control and selection devices industry and occupies the leadership position in Asia.

The company has its design and manufacturing facility consisting of fully integrated crystal manufacturing plant for high stability, low aging crystals and a full pledged, state of the art crystal oscillator lab in 25,000 Sq. feet of Air conditioned space (including 2,500 Sq. feet of Class 1,000 clean area of high stability crystal manufacturing) in the city of Kakinada in the state of Andhra Pradesh on the South East Coast of India. The company has 125 employees with 25 Graduate Engineers and 15 Diploma Engineers.
